Bayern Munich captain Manuel Neuer recently expressed his desire to become a World Champion again. Luckily for him and the likes of Thomas Müller and Joshua Kimmich, Germany National team manager Hansi Flick shares the same ambitions as his players. In an interview with kicker magazine, Flick commented on the style of play he expects Die Mannschaft to adopt under him and their chances of winning the 2022 edition of World Cup.
The 56-year-old wants his players to continue to play with the same vigour and precision that they exhibited during the 6-0 victory against Armenia in the previous International break. “For us, if there is an opportunity to play forward, then we want to do that,” he added.

Flick further expressed his intention of developing Germany into one of football’s greatest forces again. “We want to get back to where we once were, to the top of the world, to the top of the world,” the former Bayern Munich mastermind emphasized.
The World Cup in Qatar will commence in approximately 13 months from today. Germany may have struggled to play a decent brand of football since 2016 but if there’s one man who can turn them into real contenders for the trophy in a short span of time, it’s Hansi Flick.
“In November 2019 nobody would have thought that Bayern Munich would win the Champions League in 2020,” reminded Flick.
