Bavarian (almost) Fight Club: Bayern Munich’s Kingsley Coman wanted a piece of Ramy Bensebaini

Coman just wanted to "talk" with Bensebaini after Bayern's embarrassing loss.

After Bayern Munich’s historic defeat to Borussia Moenchengladbach in the second round of the DFB-Pokal on Wednesday, tempers were high in the Bayern locker room. Most of Bayern’s players just stormed off the pitch — refusing to make a comment — while some were just confused. However, Kingsley Coman had other plans.

Bild (as reported by Abendzeitung) reported that after most of the team was already in the away locker room, the door flew open and Coman — surrounded by team officials — spilled out. The feisty Frenchman was yelling, “I just want to talk!” while pushing towards the Gladbach locker room. Luckily, the training staff was able to talk some sense into Coman, and he was able to calm down before he did anything he would regret.

But one question remains: what made Coman so angry? It likely began about ten minutes before the end of the match, when Coman and Ramy Bensebaini went from bickering to a full-blown confrontation. After the match ended, both players came together again before Bensebaini needed to be held back by his teammates. Apparently Coman didn’t want to let it end there and wanted to go speak with Bensebaini before he left Monchengladbach.
