Bayern Munich defender Lucas Hernandez never has to worry about whether or not his team is up to a challenge. The French defender lauded the squad’s hunger for competition and the spirit that it brings to the training ground each and every day.

“I’m a competitor. We’re all competitors in this team. That is our focus. It’s the way we think. We won everything there was to win a year-and-a-half ago,” Hernandez told Bundesliga.com “Sometimes it’s difficult as every team wants to beat Bayern Munich. But we know everything is in our hands. If we play in a concentrated manner and perform as we can, we know we will win.”

Hernandez and his mates will have that competitive fire tested against Union Berlin. Coming on the heels of a humbling 5-0 defeat to Borussia Mönchengladbach, all eyes will be on Bayern Munich and how the team responds to the challenge.
