Earlier last week, we heard that Bayern Munich and Serge Gnabry were getting close to an agreement on a contract extension.
Now, though, things might really be getting close, as transfer expert Fabrizio Romano checked in with an update that should make Bayern Munich extremely happy in the coming days. Romano tweeted that Gnabry is “prepared to accept and sign soon with a salary increase.” Romano also says that the negotiations are in the “final stages.”
Below, is Romano’s tweet:
FC Bayern are set to reach the agreement with Serge Gnabry to extend his contract. New long-term deal proposed weeks ago, the winger is prepared to accept and sign soon with salary increase. #Bayern

Current contract was expiring in June 2023. Negotiations now at final stages.
Typically, when Romano tweets something, it is essentially a done deal. He has become “Mr. Here We Go” because of his penchant for really only reporting those things which are about to happen.
It is probably safe to assume that this particular news is very close to being “final” and that we should see a formal announcement from the club within days or weeks — depending on when Bayern Munich wants to go through the formal “signing day” hoopla.
