The first matches in the DFB-Pokal will be held between 29 July and 1 August 2022. The German Supercup 2022, which pits the Bundesliga champions against the DFB-Pokal winners from the previous season, will take place the same weekend, on Saturday 30 July. Accordingly, the first-round matches of the DFB-Pokal which feature the Supercup participants have been scheduled for 30 and 31 August 2022.

The second round of the DFB-Pokal will follow on 18-19 October 2022, the third round will take place on 31 January-1 February and 7-8 February 2023, and the quarter-finals are scheduled for 4-5 April 2023. The semi-finals will be held on 2 and 3 May 2023. The DFB-Pokal final will take place on 3 June 2023.
