Bayern Munich’s Thomas Müller, Serge Gnabry, and Joshua Kimmich debate Kylian Mbappe vs. Ousmane Dembele

The documentary is going to be straight fire.

In Bayern Munich’s upcoming Amazon Prime documentary “Behind the Legend”, there will assuredly be numerous candid moments and discussions among players and team personnel caught in 4K.

Bild (as captured by Twitter account @iMiaSanMia) was able to extract one of them that centered on an interesting debate between Thomas Müller, Serge Gnabry, and Joshua Kimmich.

The talented trio were arguing the quality of Kylian Mbappe vs. Ousmane Dembele and which player was actually better.

Here is the verbal sparring (which is not all that surprising in some cases):

Gnabry: “Dembele is much better than Mbappe.”

Müller: “What does better mean? What do you want to say by better? If I could dribble like Dembele, I would be better, too.”

Kimmich to Gnabry (and Kingsley Coman, who was also there): “If you ask me, Dembele or one of the two of you, I’ll always take you (over him). This Dembele discussion pisses me off!”

How can you not laugh at that exchange?

BFW Analysis

Here is a quick bullet style analysis of that back-and-forth:

  • Who would have thought Gnabry was a hot take artist? Serge Bayless!
  • Kimmich being dismissive of the whole thing was so fitting.
  • The was a typical Müller response, eh?
  • I feel like Coman needed to step in like the bartender from Pulp Fiction and say, “My name is Paul and that’s between y’all” at the end of that discussion.
