Report: Bayern Munich interested in Napoli’s Victor Osimhen

Would Osimhen be a cost effective replacement for Lewandowski?

Nigerian website Soccernet.ng captured a report form Italian journalist Paolo Bargiggia that states Bayern Munich could be interested in Napoli striker and Nigeria international.

The theory is that Robert Lewandowski’s future is uncertain and the Bavarians see that 22-year-old Super Eagle as one of the potential options to replace him should Lewandowski move on:

German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich are looking at in-form Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen as a potential replacement for Robert Lewandowksi.

Lewandowski’s current contract at the Allianz Arena expires in 2023, and according to Paolo Bargiggia, the six-time European champions have identified Osimhen as the man to replace him.

The report also states that Paris Saint-Germain is also interested in Osimhen and that PSG could offer a swap deal including Mauro Icardi to land the Nigerian. Bayern Munich has also been linked to players like Chelsea FC’s Timo Werner, Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland, and Fiorentina’s Dusan Vlahovic as potential Lewandowski replacements as well.
