According to 90min.com, the much anticipated move by FC Dallas and USMNT striker Ricardo Pepi to Wolfsburg will be happening.
Some Bayern Munich fans were hoping that Pepi would make the leap to Bavaria, but it appears that Wolfsburg was able to offer a better package and pathway to an important role on the squad:
I can confirm that Ricardo Pepi has requested a transfer from FC Dallas and that he has agreed to personal terms with Wolfsburg. First reported by @CJSmith91.

Far from done. So many clubs interested and involved.
We had seen the initial reports start to leak out last week, but now it appears that the move will be happening. The presence of Robert Lewandowski was likely a big deterrent for Pepi as the Polish Hitman looks incredibly good, even at what should be the latter stages of his career.
As for Wolfsburg, Wout Weghorst is no slouch either, but is clearly not in the same stratosphere as Lewandowski. Regardless, it would seem like a longshot to think Pepi could unseat the big Dutchman.
Both Lewandowski and Weghorst have contracts that expire in 2023, but Pepi must have thought his development would be in better hands at Wolfsburg.
CBS journalist Roger Gonzalez confirmed the report:

Gonzalez later tweeted that Borussia Dortmund and Ajax were both interested in Pepi as well:
Sources tell CBS Sports that Ajax and Borussia Dortmund have both expressed interest in Ricardo Pepi.
