If there was any doubt on where Thomas Müller stands on the contract standoff between Niklas Süle and Bayern Munich, the Raumdeuter made sure not to leave any doubt.

“He is currently performing very well again. That’s the crucial thing. If he delivers that, then he’s a very important player for us,” told Bild.

Müller, of course, spends a fair amount of time golfing with Süle, so the twosome have a real connection on and off the pitch. For his part, Müller loves seeing Süle uses his underrated footwork nd skills to bomb into the final third.

“Once he’s on the move, he’s hard to stop. Also because he already has the agility down low. It’s surprising when a center-back dribbles all of a sudden. That was similar with Lucio in the past. It’s more important that he’s stable in the body duels besides these actions, that he can pick up the speed,” told Bild.

Naturally, if Süle does leave, the Bavarians will have to sign Gareth Bale just to ensure Müller has someone to hit the links with.
