It is not hard to identify the raw talent of Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala and Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz, but Peter Hermann, a former assistant coach under Jupp Heynckes and Hansi Flick, thinks the duo could be special.

“That’s correct. Together with Herman Gerland, I saw (Wirtz) at the final of the U-17 Bundesliga, Borussia Dortmund against Cologne. At that time Florian was still playing for FC Köln and Gerland and I immediately noticed him in this game,” Hermann said to Abendzeitung. “When I last took over for eight weeks with Hannes Wolf in Leverkusen, I was allowed to train him and that was a lot of fun. The boy has really great talent — just like Jamal Musiala from Bayern Munich. We are currently in Germany, for example, with Malik Tillman (FC Bayern), Karim Adeyemi (RB Salzburg) or Jan Thielmann (FC Köln) really a lot of good young players — but Wirtz and Musiala, they are something special.”

Those two special players also swapped kits after Bayern Munich’s win yesterday as well:
