How much this actually means remains open for debate, but Sky reported that that Bayern Munich and representatives for Red Bull Salzburg star and Germany international Karim Adeyemi held talks on Saturday.

Adeyemi’s representatives included his father and his agent and the rumored price tag of €30 to €40 million for a transfer fee appears to be legitimate:

Not everyone was excited about the news, however, per Sky:

According to Sky information, a round of negotiations took place in Munich on Saturday. Ex-Bundesliga player Martin Stranzl disapproves of the behavior of the Adeyemi side. “I find it very strange on his part to start negotiations for a possible transfer,” said the 41-year-old in his role as an expert at Sky Sport Austria and continued: “That has become a bad habit with which I am now I disagree.”

In addition, Sky is reporting that while Adeyemi wants to make a move to the German Bundesliga, the talks with Bayern Munich might not mean whole lot:

But there is still no decision as to where the 19-year-old will go from summer. According to Sky Info, the player would like to switch to the Bundesliga himself. In addition to Bayern, Leipzig, Dortmund and Liverpool are also interested. There was already a concrete exchange there as well. Further negotiations are to follow.

Whatever the case, Adeyemi is certainly looking to gets his ducks in a row for the winter transfer window.
