Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has high praise for Bayern Munich’s Joshua Kimmich

Joshua Kimmich appears to be everything that coaches love.

North Macedonia v Germany - 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifier

Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich plays with a fire and intensity that just about any coach would love.

It is not just his demeanor and leadership that managers admire, though. It is his ability to play a smart, precise style that they are also fond of.

We can add Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone to the list managers who have an admiration of the 26-year-old.

“You have Kimmich,” Simeone told Tz. “The only time he loses a ball is when he gives it to his son to play at home.”

Simeone is a fan of Bayern Munich as a club and respects the way the club conducts itself on and off the pitch.

“They all arrive, they all score goals. They never lose the ball,” Simeone said. “Look, we didn’t play badly against them last season. Bayern came in front of our goal six times and scored four goals. We lost 0:4!”

While Simeone was surely having a little fun, it is clear that Kimmich — and Bayern Munich — have the attention of Europe.
