Jamal Musiala is undoubtedly one of the finest young talents in top-level European football at present and his boss at Bayern Munich has nothing but praise for the wunderkind. Julian Nagelsmann sat down for an interview with Abendzeitung to discuss a few things about the team roster and the head coach touched upon the topic of giving Musiala more game time and thus more chances to shine.

Nagelsmann is convinced that the 18-year-old will get his chances to make it into the starting XI more often going forward. He said, “Jamal Musiala was recently a bit injured, which is why he did not start so often, which will certainly happen again. He still has to gain physical strength to avoid any injuries. It’s our job to get him to a top-level.”

Musiala scored the first international goal of his career for Germany away at Skopje on Monday and it might just be the beginning of something wonderful – both for Die Mannschaft and the player himself.

“He’s an amazing player and it’s always interesting to sub him on because he can make the difference. But he will also get back to starting. We are very happy to have him,” added the boss.

Musiala has contributed two goals and two assists from his six appearances – of which he has been in the starting XI just once – in the Bundesliga this season.
