Bayern Munich prospect Nemanja Motika has had a fantastic start to his season with Bayern Munich II.
Motika has 13 goals and six assists in 15 Regionalliga games so far and one goal in two matches for Germany’s U-19 squad. At just 18-years-old, Motika is showing that he has the talent and the scoring chops to potentially breakthrough to the Bayern Munich first team...but when?
If it was up to the winger, now would be the time, as his goal is to compete with players like Serge Gnabry, Kingsley Coman, and Leroy Sane for a place in the starting XI.
“I have great ambitions and a clear vision. I know that if I continue in this direction it will be good. I also talked to the people in the club, I could sign a professional contract,” Motika said (as captured by Tz).
Motika’s current deal runs through the 2022/2023 season.
The youngster is convinced that he is ready to battle for playing time with the likes of Coman, Gnabry, and Sane.
“I can already compete with players like Sané and Coman,” Motika said.
Motika, though, has been hit with some disciplinary actions from the club and will need to refine that part of his personality to help show the club he has the maturity to handle a future with the first team.
