Jamal Musiala has scored his first ever goal in Germany colors.
The 18-year-old Bayern Munich phenomenon got on the scoresheet in Germany’s 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier against North Macedonia, just eight months after pledging his loyalty to Die Mannschaft. By doing so, he became just the second youngest player to score for Germany, and the youngest since Marius Hiller in 1910(!).
It was a well taken goal as well, with Musiala latching onto a through ball from Karim Adeyemi, running through on goal, and coolly finishing. Take a look:

Musiala made his national team debut in March 2021, in a 3-0 home win over Iceland. He then played in his first ever international tournament in Euro 2020, and kept being called up to this day, when he scored his first goal.
Not only was it a good day for Musiala, but it was also a great day for his Bayern teammates. Thomas Müller carried on his good form with two assists, and captain Manuel Neuer got another clean sheet for the national team(although he didn’t really have to work for it). It was Neuer’s third Germany clean sheet in three games under Hansi Flick. It was a good day for the German national team all around too, as they became the first country in the world to qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, minus hosts Qatar.
Bayern fans and coach Julian Nagelsmann will be hoping Musiala keeps his good form for his club as well, with games coming thick and fast in the next two months. Bayern barely has a break until the Winterpause, so it’s crucial that all their players, including Musiala, stay firing on all cylinders until then.
