Former Bayern Munich boss Hansi Flick is probably getting tired of seeing the criticism leveled at his players.
Chelsea FC’s Timo Werner and Kai Havertz have come under the most fire for their reduced roles in London, but Florian Neuhaus is another player who might have fallen out of favor — at least temporarily — with Borussia Mönchengladbach.
In fact, some are wondering how Neuhaus was selected for Germany when he cannot break into his club’s lineup.
“I had a close exchange with Adi Hütter and I think it’s important to protect players. Florian has been one of the top players in his position in recent years. He is developing well,” Flick said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
While Flick is not concerned with some bumps in the road for Neuhaus, he sees nothing but good things ahead for Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz.
“He’s very clever, technically very strong and has good finishing. He’s a good player overall and we are glad that we have him,” said Flick (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
It is clear that Flick has a plan for both players, though they could be on different trajectories moving forward — even as both have been closely linked to transferring to Bayern Munich.
