Bayern Munich star Thomas Müller will never change...at least not his vocal style on the pitch.
While not the captain for Bayern Munich or for Germany, Müller plays a key role in playing the role of “player-coach” while on the pitch in helping the team communicate and stay cohesive.
It is a role, which Müller feels is vital to a team’s success.
“As soon as I’m on the pitch, I try to get into position as best I can. Then it’s a matter of working with commands as well. I’m someone who is more confident in addressing others. I try not to come across as lecturing, but to pass on pertinent information. In general, I try to implement that on the pitch,” Müller said as captured by SPOX. “There is also positive feedback. I’ve heard that I infect games with it. I also demand that I get commands from other players.”
Müller’s role for Germany these days is especially important as the team tries to meld a younger generation with a veteran core.
