Alaba’s proposal to Madrid (AS)

Bayern Munich defender David Alaba is widely assumed to be leaving Germany this summer, but his salary demands appear to be a big roadblock. Real Madrid are allegedly the frontrunners to sign Alaba, but the player’s initial demands are too high at this point. What exactly is he supposedly asking for? Well, here you go:

Alaba wants a salary of 12 million and a signing bonus of, at least, 20 million more. Everything is up in the air until Ramos’ future is known, but in the meantime, the other teams that want Alaba (PSG, Barça, City, United and Liverpool) are putting pressure on him.

At €12 million per year with a €20 million bonus, it is no wonder why Real Madrid is thinking it will circle back on the Austrian once it knows the future plans of Sergio Ramos. Could Paris Saint-Germain, FC Barcelona, Manchester City, Manchester United, or Liverpool slip in and make an advance?

Well, funny enough, the latest on Liverpool is below.

Latest on Alaba-to-LFC (Liverpool Echo)

The Liverpool Echo claims that Real Madrid countered Alaba’s offer above with a counterproposal of €10 million per season. There was no word on whether a signing bonus was included:

(Liverpool) have apparently matched Real Madrid in putting forward a contract worth €10million, with the defender free to find a new club as his current deal with the European champions expires this summer. This report is said to come from Goal’s Juventus correspondent Romeo Agresti. Juventus were also interested but it is believed they cannot offer as much as the English and Spanish sides. Looks like this is a saga that intends to rumble on for a while.

Intends to rumble for a while? Grrrrrrrreaaaaaaat.

Müller has millions more Twitter followers than Messi (@esmuellert_)

So picturesque: the Schwarzwald-Stadion (@Bundesliga_EN)

I mean...who doesn’t like this view? I want to transfer to SBN’s SC Freiburg blog “Verloren im Wald” looking at that:

Max Meyer headed back to the BuLi? (@swearimnotpaul)

Goal’s Ronan Murphy tweeted out a reported from Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger, which stated that FC Köln is interested in bringing former Schalke 04 midfielder back to the Bundesliga. Meyer, who has had a relatively disastrous stint with Crystal Palace, could absolutely use a change of scenery:

At one point, Bayern Munich was reportedly interested in Meyer. Could that flame be rekindled this summer? The Bavarians are reportedly on the lookout for some depth in the central midfield.

Haller to Ajax (@FabrizioRomano)

Former Eintracht Frankfurt forward Sebastien Haller did not exactly pan out after moving to West Ham United. Fortunately for the 26-year-old, Ajax has room for a player with his talents:

Maybe a step too far with his transfer request? (@SoccerAM)

Royal Antwerp forward Didier Lamkel Zé was trying to force a transfer to Panathinaikos and decided that the best way to make that happen was to wear the jersey of Royal Antwerp’s chief rival, Anderlecht, to training:
