Bayern Munich’s Thomas Muller had a strong performance against Hoffenheim as he managed to score a goal and made his presence felt all over the field. After the match, Muller had some things to say about his and Bayern’s performance.
Muller said (via TZ) that we witnessed a regular football match this evening. “Hoffenheim tried to play proper football, rather than just playing destructively. We sometimes didn’t react well in defensive play, but going forward, it was good and creative.”
Muller praised his teammates and overall performance, adding that Bayern is on the right track to their usual dominant style. “I don’t know how to describe our dominance. In the advanced stages of the game, when we wanted to pick up the pace, we made good chances. That gives us a good feeling.”
It was interesting to see Germany’s national coach Joachim Low sitting in the stands and watching the game. Muller, however, was doubtful that his performance would garner him any consideration for a role with the national team.
“My press officer has just informed me, so I’ve just found out. Bayern against Hoffenheim at 15:30 isn’t a top game, so I didn’t think he’d come. It probably had nothing to do with me. The last games were good too, and he wasn’t in the stadium.”
When Low was asked about Muller’s showing, the national team manager insisted that there was nothing to say, at the moment.
Bild asked Joachim Löw about Thomas Müller's performance today. He responded: "There's nothing to say, now"
