Spurs to chase Neuhaus as well? (@Plettigoal)
With Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich reportedly in a competition of sorts for Borussia Mönchengladbach midfielder Florian Neuhaus, Tottenham Hotspur would reportedly like to make this a three-way dance in the “Fight for Florian.”
As Sport1 journalist Florian Plettenberg notes, however, Tottenham Hotspur’s interest might not be quite as hardcore as Bayern Munich’s. Specifically, the rumored €40 million commitment could be a figure that makes even big clubs balk in this financial climate:
Update #Neuhaus II: José #Mourinho is also interested in Neuhaus. However, Tottenham's interest is currently not as concrete as Dortmund's. @SPORT1 #THFC #COYS #BVB #FCBayern

Of the three clubs, none are probably optimal for Neuhaus at this stage of his career:
- Bayern Munich has a two-headed monster (Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka) working as a double-pivot, while Thomas Müller is also in fantastic form.
- Borussia Dortmund might lack the financial stability to make the move and could also be shutout of European competition if it does not turn things around.
- Similarly, Tottenham Hotspur is no sure thing to qualify for the Champions League and might not want to drop €40 million.
Plettenberg does think, however, that if BVB is able to hire Marco Rose as its next permanent manager, Neuhaus might be willing to follow his coach:
❗️Update #Neuhaus: #FCBayern is getting a lot of competition. According to our info, Dortmund wants to sign him for the coming season. #BVB is planning a major upheaval. Neuhaus could follow Rose. The only sticking point from BVB‘s point of view: the €40 Mio! @SPORT1 @berger_pj

More Messi to PSG rumors (Sport Bild)
Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Leandro Paredes did not hide the fact that his club wants FC Barcelona star Lionel Messi in a bad way and thinks Argentine manager Mauricio Pochettino could play a major role in the recruitment.
“It is up to him whether he wants to come or not,” Paredes told Corriere dello Sport (as captured by Sport Bild). “In any case, PSG are trying to convince Messi. To be trained by a coach from your country, and maybe to play alongside Leo, is a great prospect. I hope it happens.”
Ins-and-Outs at Hertha (Transfer Market Web)
Well, we already saw Bruno Labbadia sacked and replaced by Pal Dardai at Hertha Berlin:

There are also rumors swirling around striker Krzysztof Piatek once again with Juventus, Genoa, Fiorentina, and Fulham all looking at the former Bayern Munich target:
Recently linked to Juventus, after having been close to join first Fiorentina, then, on a move-back scenario, Genoa, Polish international striker Krzysztof Piatek (25), still possibly parting ways with Hertha Berlin, is growing into more and more of a major last-minute target for Fulham, according to onet.pl. Former AC Milan hitman joined the German club in January 2020.

You have to appreciate this if you have ever seen the Twitter reaction to Hansi Flick’s lineups:

I still believe Timo Werner will assert himself and have a great career, but funny is funny.

Report: Clark headed to Leipzig (The Atheltic)
