Bayern Munich endured a hellish three-game week in picking up important Bundesliga wins over SC Freiburg, FC Augsburg, and Schalke 04.
Manager Hansi Flick could see the toll this season’s condensed schedule has played on his roster and elected to give his boys two days off to rest and recuperate according to FCBayern.com:
After a perfect footballing week with three wins from three games in the Bundesliga, Hansi Flick granted his team a two-day breather.
“It’s important to clear your head and maybe not see the coach every day,” said Flick after the 4-0 win at FC Schalke 04 on Sunday.
Flick plans to start getting ready for this upcoming weekend’s revenge match against Hoffenheim on Wednesday.
“We’ll start intensive preparations for Hoffenheim on Wednesday. That’ll give us three training sessions, which we’ll use to reflect on the game and practice the things we need to do better,” said Flick.
