Bayern Munich placed five players from its 2019/2020 treble-winners on the UEFA Men’s Team of the Year for 2020.

Manuel Neuer, Alphonso Davies, Joshua Kimmich, Robert Lewandowski and Thiago Alcantara (now with Liverpool) were all honored. The club website had the following summary of the team:

Bayern’s extraordinary sporting success in 2020 with five titles has also reflected extremely positively on the players in 2021. The latest accolade sees five of the treble winners in Manuel Neuer, Alphonso Davies, Joshua Kimmich, Robert Lewandowski and Thiago, who joined Liverpool in the summer, named in the UEFA Team of the Year 2020 by fans.

From 50 nominees, those five Bayern players feature alongside Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid), Virgil van Dijk (Liverpool), Kevin de Bruyne (Manchester City), Lionel Messi (Barcelona), Neymar (Paris Saint-Germain) and Cristiano Ronaldo (Juventus) in the team. Voting started on 1 December on the UEFA website and was open to fans across the world.
