Update 12:20PM EST: The injury to Bayern Munich’s Serge Gnabry does not appear to be serious upon first reports. As expected, it looks like a minor muscle issue:

In what is slowly turning out to be a challenging Hindrunde, Serge Gnabry was subbed off in the 28’ of Bayern Munich’s Bundesliga match against SC Freiburg after suffering what appeared to be a right thigh injury. As he went down he immediately beckoned to the sideline in obvious discomfort. He was subsequently replaced by star winger Leroy Sané.
Closer to the 25’ minute, Gnabry took a shot from outside the 18-yard box that appears to have caused his injury, but the extent of it will be disclosed later on today. This is simply just another injury in what is slowly becoming a trend with Serge Gnabry, and it could not have come at a worse time.
While Bayern has Kingsley Coman back into the fold, having a fully healthy squad would be Bayern’s best chance at returning to their Europameister form that has been missing over the past month.
We will keep you updated in the hours to come regarding the extent of Gnabry’s injury.
