Bayern Munich II thrashes Hallescher FC

Putting their atrocious November behind them, Bayern Munich II have only lost one of their last six matches.

Bayern Munich II romped to a big 4-0 victory against Hallescher FC thanks to a double doppelpack from Lenn Jastremski and Maximilian Zaiser. The defending 3.Liga champions are on a two match winning streak for the second time this season.

Chris Scott was active down the right wing early in this match. While his attempt in the 9th minute was unsuccessful, Angelo Stiller got the rebound and passed to Jastremski who notched the goal to put Bayern II up 1-0.

Zaiser made it 3-0 with goals on either side of halftime in the 41st and 51st minute. At this point, Bayern were clearly playing the better of the two sides and were a bit unlucky to only be up 3-0.

Then, in the 72nd minute, Jastremski scored a great one-on-one goal to put Bayern up 4-0 and cement their victory on the day.

After moving getting out of the relegation zone last week, today’s win takes Bayern II all the way up to 10th place with 23 points. The 3.Liga is always an incredibly tight league. Despite their current position in the table, Bayern II is only 5 points out of the relegation zone, and Zwickau has two matches in hand.

Bayern II will take the field again on Friday, January 22 in the “true” start of the second half of the season when they face 3.Liga newcomers Türkgücü München for a nice little city derby.
