Leon Dajaku is transferring to Union Berlin, kicker reports. The soccer magazine writes, “This transfer is a done deal and should be made public imminently: Bundesliga team Union Berlin will sign Leon Dajaku (19) from FC Bayern.”
Kicker does not offer any details on the transfer, but it would appear to be a permanent move. “Dajaku’s contract with Säbener Straße would have run until June 30, 2023,” kicker add.
News of a potential loan to Union Berlin broke just three days ago, and soon OGC Nice, FC Köln, and AC Milan were also said to be interested in the striker.
In the current season, Dajaku has scored three goals and made one assist in 14 games in the 3.Liga. He has played for Bayern II 43 times, but never debuted with the first team since he was signed in 2019 from Stuttgart. The 19-year-old will presumably see much more first-team action in the German capital.
