Bayern Munich’s Joshua Zirkzee has failed to break into the club’s first-team in the year since his crucial appearances for the club in December 2019. Whenever he has played, the Dutchman has failed to get involved in play and frankly, prove himself Bayern quality. As a result, recent speculation has suggested that both player and club are looking for Zirkzee to transfer away. Now, according to talkSPORT, Everton are set to sign the young striker.

Per talkSPORT, the move will initially be a loan deal, with a “view to a permanent deal”, presumably if Zirkzee plays well.
Bayern’s apparent willingness to let Zirkzee leave on a permanent is striking, as it showcases how they don’t think Zirkzee would ever be Bayern material. Furthermore, talisman Robert Lewandowski’s imperious form also stands as a major roadblock for any aspiring striker within the Bavarian’s ranks — with Lewandowski likely to still be starting for the foreseeable future and currently, the world’ best player!
All in all, it seems best for the player and club that Zirkzee moves on in the near future. He simply needs first-team football at a high level in order to aid his development. Who knows, perhaps Bayern will insert a buy back clause in any potential sale.
