Per an announcement from the club, an unnamed FC Bayern Munich II player has tested positive for the coronavirus. The player will spend 14 days in quarantine in an attempt to mitigate the risk to other players and club officials. Bayern Munich followed COVID-19 protocols and reported the positive test to the local health department.
In a preventive measure, all Bayern Munich II players will train individually today and will be tested again on Friday. The squad’s friendly against RB Salzburg on Friday has been cancelled.

A player from the U23 team of #FCBayern has tested positive for Corona and will spend 14 days in quarantine.
The positive test comes just days after Bayern Munich’s Champions League finale opponent, Paris Saint-Germain, suffered a series of positive test results. L’Equipe reported that Neymar, Angel DiMaria, and Leandro Paredes all tested positive for COVID-19. Per AS, the players also vacationed with teammates Ander Herrera, Mauro Icardi, and Keylor Navas, who — as of now — have not tested positive.
