It’s been a little over a week since the Champions League final and ... they’re playing football again? Wow, UEFA won’t give it a rest. At least most Bayern Munich players get a break for this one.

Niklas Sule and Leroy Sane take the pitch on Germany’s side, while Thiago alcantara will probably start for Spain. For once Jogi Low can’t be blamed for not calling up the danger trio of Mats Hummels, Thomas Muller, and Jerome Boateng, because most of them were too busy celebrating a treble. You’d think the two key members of a squad that dominated Germany and Europe would be perfect for any NT, but you’d be wrong.

Isn’t it funny that, despite Covid-19 basically stopping all sporting events around the world for several months, the UEFA Nations League is the only competition that is going ahead as-scheduled? What a world we live in, huh?
