It’s not that surprising Bayern Munich lost their first game of the season right after an 120’ thriller against Sevilla for a trophy. I guess it was ironic that it happened against Hoffenheim, considering what happened the last time the two teams played.
Now, with a hampered squad, it’s up to Bayern, a team we thought didn’t need much improvement after winning the top prize in all of Europe, to find some way to patch the holes in our hull and move forward. This includes two games this week against Dortmund and Hertha Berlin.
We may or may not produce an episode for each of those games, but in the meantime, we look at the current state of affairs:
Today on the podcast:
- After 90 Minutes: Hoffenheim came quick and fast to challenge a Bayern team coming off a tough game against Sevilla and as a result, the tired team lost their first game of 2020. We look at what went wrong for the team, what they can do to pick things back up, and more.
- Around the League: We look at the current state of the table and react to the firing of Schalke 04 manager David Wagner
