Bayern Munich U-19s beat Augsburg 1-0 to stay at the top of the A-Junioren Bundesliga Süd/Südwest after two matchdays (on goal difference). “It was the difficult game expected,” coach Martin Demichelis said. “The opponent was very compact and made it difficult for us.”

After controlling the majority of the match, Bayern were unable to find a goal for their efforts. Five minutes from time, Mamin Sanyang created an opportunity that was finally converted by Grant-Leon Ranos who was on the field for only seven minutes before the goal.

Next weekend, the U-19s will play in the first round of the DFB Pokal when St. Pauli comes to the Bayern campus.
