With a lack of depth on the squad, Bayern Munich is not eager to sell off or loan out Michaël Cuisance.

Citing a shrinking first-team roster, Sport Bild is reporting that Bayern Munich will not sell Michaël Cuisance despite reported interest from both Leeds United and Olympique Marseille.

After an initial report that Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa “loves” the 21-year-old midfielder, Sport Bild followed up with its sources within Bayern Munich to quickly throw cold water on the rumor. With Thiago Alcantara now at Liverpool and Javi Martinez expected to leave Germany for Athletic Bilbao soon, the logistics of letting yet another midfielder walk just do not seem to work.

BFW Analysis

Despite his spot as a reserve, Cuisance simply has too much potential and value to offload right now. Given the season’s condensed schedule, Cuisance should be able to muster more than the 10 appearances and 311 minutes that he tallied during the last campaign.

Cuisance’s skill and talent no doubt make him an intriguing candidate for many clubs, but Hansi Flick and Hasan “Brazzo” Salihamidžić are well-aware of their thinning midfield and also of Cuisance’s tantalizing ability. Though temperamental and maybe impatient at times, Cuisance is simply eager to play like many young players.

With more field time for Cuisance on the horizon, Flick should be able to help him refine those rough parts of his game over the course of this season.

Oh yeah, he also puts out the best hype videos on the squad, which has to account for something, right?
