Per a new report coming out of Spain, Barcelona has agreed terms with Ajax for the transfer of Bayern Munich target Sergiño Dest. On Esport3’s “Onze” program on Catalunya Radio, Oriol Domènech explained that the two clubs have agreed on a fee of €20 million, plus €5 million in variables for the American starlet; however, they would still need to agree upon the timing of the installments, given Nelson Semedo’s transfer to Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League. Semedo signed with Wolves for a fee of €35m and both Luis Suarez and Arturo Vidal have also departed the Catalan giants.

This report came out in close proximity with a Sport1 report that said a deal between Bayern and Ajax was really close. The report said that everyone in Bayern’s coaching staff and front office was convinced he’d be a good fit at the club, Dest’s representatives felt Bayern would be the best fit for him, and that Dest was excited at the prospect of working under Hansi Flick. The report from the Catalonian radio program came out right around the same time that the Sport1 story was published, so there are clearly a lot of moving parts in place right now.

Max Aarons to Barcelona, too?

Spanish football expert Guillem Balague is also saying that Barcelona is also close to agreeing a deal with Norwich City for defender Max Aarons. He’s suggested his fee would be very similar to Dest’s, but also said that Barcelona have not yet confirmed the agreement with Ajax for Dest:

It’s all happening fast, folks!
