In a condensed season, there will be a strong focus on managing even the most minor of knocks or ailments with extreme care. Accordingly, Bayern Munich is taking early steps to attempt to keep the squad healthy.
Per FCBayern.com. Robert Lewandowski did not train today due to load management. Load management, which gained massive popularity based on how the Philadelphia 76ers have managed Joel Embiid over the years, is simply giving a player some rest on a day where he/she would normally train or play. In a season where a heavy schedule will weigh on the mind of Hansi Flick, a little rest for the best striker in the world should not be a cause for concern.
Leon Goretzka and David Alaba, meanwhile, returned to training after sitting out previously.

There was no official update on the status of Canadian phenom Alphonso Davies, who sat out the season opener due to muscular issues. There was, however, a picture of Davies in training with Thomas Muller, Corentin Tolisso, Alaba, and Marshall Mathers...err, Michaël Cuisance posted by @iMiaSanMia.
He’s nervous, but on the surface he looks calm and ready
To drop bombs, but he keeps on forgettin’...
