Martin Demichelis led the Bayern Munich U-19 team to their first win of the 2020/21 season in his first competitive solo match in charge of the team, 8-0 against SSV Ulm.
Christopher Scott netted a hat trick for Bayern, and the club also received goals from Jamie Lawrence, Luca Denk, Mamin Sanyang, Torben Rhein, and Armindo Sieb.
“We dominated the game from the start and let the ball run well. You could see early on in the game that they were implementing our game idea well,” Demichelis said.
Scott joined Bayern from Bayer Leverkusen in January 2020, but he was unable to get any significant time on the field for the U-19s, as the coronavirus soon shut everything down. Scott did make the Bayern II bench for one game over the summer on their way to the 3.Liga title.
The match was also the Bayern debut for Sanyang and Sieb who made the move over from Hoffeheim’s U-17 team over the summer, and both were able to get on the scoresheet.

Lucas Copado scored with only a couple of minutes remaining in the match to push Bayern U-17 to a 1-0 victory over FSV Frankfurt. The match was Danny Schwarz’s first since dropping down from the U-19s and taking the reigns over from Miroslav Klose.
“My boys never gave up and went to their limits after the long break,” Schwarz said. ”Fortunately, they were rewarded for this effort in the end.”
The match saw the debut of heralded Scottish youngster Barry Hepburn.
