Amidst rumours and reports of Treble Winners Bayern Munich looking to sign Inter Milan’s Marcelo Brozović , the 27-year-old Croat has come out himself and thrown cold water on the potential transfer with a strong statement.

The transfer news of Brozović’s move to Bavaria has been heating up lately with the player himself having the latest say. Brozović took to his official Instagram handle to communicate his clear intent for a long career at the San Siro. An integral part of the Croatian team to reach the World Cup finals in 2018, Brozović declared his love for the city of Milan and the Blue & Black shirt.

Dear Black & Blue people, out of the great respect I have for this jersey, I have never responded to all the things that have been written about me in the past few weeks, nor will I do so now. I can only say that I have always given my all for this jersey and for this city, where I truly feel at home. I believe I have also given some emotions, such as when we shared our joy in the derby. I love this jersey, I love Milan, and I can’t wait to be able to fight in nerazzurro for a long time. Forza Inter!!!

It is always very desirable for a player to show their love for their club colors. Having said that, a statement like this directly from a player that Bayern’s reportedly interested in might not please the bosses at Säbener Stasse.

With Thiago Alcantara’s expected move to Liverpool , Javi Martinez’s likely departure in the same transfer window and Brozovic now declaring his wish to stay at Inter, the current midfield replacement plan is yet to be finalised at the Allianz Arena for the new season.
