Bayern Munich will have to do without Benjamin Pavard in the final Champions League round of 16 game against Chelsea. The next Frenchman who might miss the game is Kingsley Coman. According to Bild, the 24-year-old did not train with the team today and only completed a 20-minute running session alongside Leon Dajaku and fitness coach Simon Martinello.

Whether it was due to precaution or not, Coman only managing to run for 20 minutes just a few days before match-day is not a good sign. It most likely means that Coman will at least not start the game.

Joshua Kimmich will replace Benjamin Pavard at the right-back position and Thiago will take Kimmich’s place in the middle of the park. But who might potentially replace Coman?

According to Bild, Flick will rely on Ivan Perisic, who started against Marseille. Both Bayern and Chelsea have their share of absentees for Saturday. With the Champions League being heavily delayed due to the coronavirus, results might become very unpredictable.

Let’s hope that Flick can manage to pull Bayern through to the quarter-finals without his two French starters.
