FC Nürnberg scoping two more Bayern Munich talents

Already in deep conversations to take goalkeeper Christian Früchtl on a two-year loan, Der Club has it sights set on also procuring Bayern Munich prospects Oliver Batista Meier and Sarpreet Singh.

FC Bayern Muenchen Doha Training Camp - Day 2

Just hours after being strongly linked to a two-year loan for Bayern Munich goalkeeper Christian Früchtl, Sport1 released a report detailing that FC Nürnberg could be poised to make a loan offer for young winger Oliver Batista Meier (19).

Batista Meier could find a first-team position with Bayern Munich difficult at this stage of his career, as his pathway to playing is blocked by Leroy Sane, Serge Gnabry, and Kingsley Coman at the moment. It also remains to be seen if Bayern Munich will find a way to bring back Ivan Perisic, whose hefty salary may be the only obstacle preventing the Bavarians from retaining the valuable veteran.

FC Nürnberg, however, might not be done with just Früchtl and Batista Meier.

A report from kicker states Der Club is also eager to bring in midfielder Sarpreet Singh (21) on a loan. Singh, who had some impressive moments during his brief time with the first-team for Bayern Munich this season, is currently crushed beneath a midfield logjam that does not look like it will yield any real chance for the youngster to get any significant first-team field time in the immediate future.

FC Nürnberg barely survived a 2.Bundesliga relegation playoff with Ingolstadt and could obviously use the talent infusion, even if all three moves eventually come on a loan.
