Fiete Arp had himself a day in Bayern Munich II’s first summer friendly, scoring three goals in the club’s big 7-2 win over SV Heimstetten. Also hitting the scoresheet was Bayern newcomer Lenn Jastremski.
It was a quick lead for Bayern II, as Angelo Stiller and Arp knocked in goals in the 1st and 3rd minute of the match against their Regionalliga Bayern opponent. Mohamad Awata for Heimstetten pulled one back in the 14th minute, but Jamie Lawrence scored Bayern II’s third of the match in the 16th minute.
Arp and Jastremski would each bag goals before the first half came to an end, giving Bayern the 5-1 lead.
“We wanted to start the test matches with the same attitude with which we ended the previous third division season,” interim coach Dirk Teschke said.
Bayern XI: Wagner (46. Schneller) – Waidner (59. Mihaljevic), Lawrence, Feldhahn, Brückner – Stiller (46. Karatas), Welzmüller (59. Booth), Zaiser, Rochelt – Arp (59. Scott), Jastremski
Arp’s hat trick came just a few minutes after the second half kickoff in the 48th minute. American Taylor Booth got on the scoresheet in the 62nd minute to score Bayern II’s seventh and final goal of the match.
SV Heimstetten managed to score once more in the final minute of the match thanks to Alexander Rojek.
While the next friendly on the schedule is against Red Bull Salzburg on September 4th, Bayern’s official website says that additional friendlies will be announced soon. The 3.Liga season doesn’t start until September 19th when Bayern II plays Türkgücü München.
