Bayern Munich’s Thiago Alcantara has looked to be heading out of Munich for a while. Liverpool FC have long been front runners in the race to buy the diminutive Spaniard. Now, it appears that Thiago and Liverpool have agreed personal terms on a contract.
This news comes courtesy of reliable RMC sport journalist Mohamed Bouhafsi and Fabrizio Romano has also just confirmed it:
Liverpool are in contact with Bayern Münich for Thiago Alcantara. The player would love to join and Klopp wants him (still working also for Wijnaldum to sign a new contract).

Bayern want no less than €30m to sell Thiago. It’s up to Liverpool now... #LFC #Bayern #Thiago
According to the reports, the agreed contract is of a duration of four years. Furthermore, Thiago has even told some of his Bayern teammates of his departure and has apparently already been house searching in Liverpool and found a home for himself. Now, only the agreement between the two clubs is stopping the transfer.
Thiago has been superb in Bayern’s matches since the Champions League restart. Jürgen Klopp and Liverpool will certainly be gaining a great player in the master burglar, if the clubs can agree on a transfer fee — it’s rumoured that Bayern want around 30M Euros.
For Bayern, it’s a shame that the player wanted a new challenge. However, with Leon Goretzka, the void in CM as a result of Thiago leaving will definitely be smaller than initially feared. Hopefully Thiago can have the send off of a CL before he leaves the club. He’s certainly earnt it!
