Leroy Sané has hit the ground running! The German international, who was supposedly granted a vacation before joining the team later before the Champions League, has had a change of plans. Eager to train with his teammates and get match-fit, Sané took to the grounds at the Säbener Strasse with teammate Niklas Süle.

According to Bild, he had a short warm-up, followed by exercises with the ball. He also completed runs around the pitch, short sprints, and some stretches with teammate Süle. Sané was in great spirits throughout, with jokes and some good banter exchanged. The players trained under the watchful eye of fitness coach Holger Broich.

Niklas Süle’s timely return to training is also great news for Bayern fans, as he’s an undisputed starter when fit. He can still play a vital role when Bayern resume their impeccable run in the Champions League come August. It remains to be seen whether Flick decides Süle is ready for the big games, or if he’ll stick with in-form Jerome Boateng instead.
Good to have you back, BFG!
