This is it! This is the home stretch! Soon-to-be Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sane has arrived in Munich for his medical. The Manchester City winger is set to sign a contract that will see him earn up to 17m euros a year in Germany. After almost a year of rumors, this mammoth saga is finally coming to an end.
Here’s Sky reporter Torben Hoffmann sharing a video he took while hiding in the bushes next to Munich airport:
Touchdown @LeroySane19 in Bayern!

Here’s Sane making his way from the airport to the city. Hoffmann even adds that Sane is seated in the back of the red Audi, on the right side. Okay, I guess? That’s a ton of detail, Torben. We’re not trying to assassinate him — you don’t need to be that specific, my guy.

The medical will likely take place tomorrow, followed by an official announcement with a photo op and a press conference. We’ll finally get to see Leroy Sane wearing authentic Bayern red, standing next to Karl-Heinz Rummenigge and Brazzo holding the #10 jersey. After tons of pseudo “official” confirmations, from comments by Tier 1 journalists to Pep Guardiola himself, we’re finally going to get what we’ve been waiting one year for.
This is it. The Sane saga ends here. Gentlemen, it’s been a pleasure going insane with you. Mia San Mia.
Update
Sane has successfully undergone the first part of his medical. Part 2 comes tomorrow.

Update #3
No presentation today, according to Bild.

Sané comes out after the meeting with the bosses — but is driven back into the underground car park elsewhere. According to BILD-Info, there will be no presentation today ... #sane
That’s disappointing.
Update #4
Getting kinda tired of making these updates, to be honest. Fabrizio Romano says Sane has signed a he contract with Bayern Munich until 2025. Hopefully, the announcement isn’t far away.

Come on Bayern, announce Sane already!
Update #5
Sane and his agent visited a restaurant in Munich after completing the medical and signing their contract. They were accompanied by Bayern employee Johannes Mosmang. The restaurant, called Guido al Duomo, serves Italian food. Get ready for rumors of a possible move to Juventus now.
