It’s happening, it’s happening! Maybe.
Today German outlet Sky Sport claimed that “Sané’s transfer to FC Bayern is almost done. The winger has reached an agreement with Munich — it’s only about the transfer fee now,” they say.
Where have I heard that before? Right, almost a month ago, when Sport Bild said essentially the same thing, that Sané had agreed to personal terms. According to them, Bayern Munich had offered Sané a 5-year contract and the coveted number 10.
Sky Sport’s resident transfer expert Marc Behrenbeck had this to say on his program, “Transfer Update - die Show” (great German title, I know): “Everything indicates that Leroy Sane is coming. Even if Oliver Kahn took his foot off the gas a little on Sky90,” referring to Kahn’s latest comments that he would not rule out making no major signings this summer.
“That notwithstanding,” Behrenbeck continued, “everything indicates that it’s going to happen. It’s only about the transfer fee now.”
Well, we’ll see, won’t we?
