ARJEN ROBBEN MAAKT COMEBACK BIJ FC GRONINGEN! #Arjenvolgjehart#laatonsweereensjuichen pic.twitter.com/QHIkzbZojM
During the suspension of the Bundesliga because of the coronavirus epidemic, Robben joined the team’s cyber-training sessions as a surprise guest. Then, as it became possible to train on the pitch again in small groups, Robben began working out at Bayern’s training grounds at Säbener Straße with fitness coach Holger Broich . . . and he kept training.
Now we know why! It was no secret that after a year of coaching his son’s youth team in Grünwald Robben was planning to move with his family back to his home of Groningen, where he was having a house built. The year off has clearly re-energized Robben, and the thought of playing again has proven to be irresistible.
'Arjen, follow your heart!'

Robben is coming home, “following his heart” as Groningen fans lured him back. Robben intends to begin training with the first team next season, and he will see how it goes.
We at BFW can’t wait to see him hit the pitch!
