Sergiño Dest has chosen Bayern Munich (Sky)
According to Sky’s Max Bielefeld, Sergiño Dest has made it known that his intention is to join Bayern Munich this summer. Other suitors for his signature include Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, but Dest seems set on joining Bayern.
His current contract with Ajax runs through the summer of 2022, but having really shown out in his first full season with the Ajax first team, Dest is prepared to continue his development on a bigger stage.
Bielefeld believes that Bayern and Ajax will reach a deal. Currently, the Dutch club is asking for €20-30 million.
Alphonso Davies named the Bundesliga Rookie of the Season
Adding to his accolades after an impressive first full season in Munich, Alphonso Davies was named the 2019-20 Bundesliga Rookie of the Year. He beat out Schalke’s Jonjoe Kenny, Borussia Mönchengladbach’s Marcus Thuram, Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland, and Köln’s Ismail Jakobs.
The award was voted on my fans, clubs, and pundits. Those votes counted as follows: fans 40%, clubs 30%, and pundits 30%. They didn’t release the vote totals.
