Bayern Munich have announced the signing of Sarah Zadrazil on a free transfer from Turbine Potsdam after the 27 year old declined the most recent contract extension offer from her club. The midfielder signed a three year contract in Munich and will help bolster the ranks for the upcoming season.
Zadrazil has 72 caps for Austria and is a former Austrian player of the year back in 2018. She will be joining a Bayern midfield that will be losing Melanie Leupolz this summer. The Potsdam captain has experience in leading a midfield and will have the opportunity to make a big impact in the squad next season.
“My personal goal is to establish myself well in the new team and to find my way again in a completely new role and to assert myself,” Zadrazil said.
Zadrazil is the fifth incoming transfer for Bayern this summer with Hanna Glas, Klara Bühl, Lea Schüller, and Marina Hegering previously announced.
