Inter Milan interested in David Alaba (Sport1)

The longer Alaba takes to sign a new contract with Bayern Munich, the longer we’ll be plagued by more of these baseless rumors. According to a report by Sport1, Inter Milan is the latest European club to set their sights on Austrian left back David Alaba. Coach Antonio Conte is said to be a fan of the player (who wouldn’t be?).

The interest might not be mutual, however. Alaba wants to win the Champions League, a goal that is still far away for the Nerazzuri, who are still struggling to challenge Juventus in their own back yard. Meanwhile, Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona have lowered their interest in the Austrian since the coronavirus crisis hit Europe. While Alaba’s agent PIni Zahavi still hasn’t had any concrete talks with the bosses owing to the fact that he can’t enter Europe at the moment, for now it seems likely that the Austrian should stay.

Odriozola: “Zidane didn’t want me to leave” (Goal)

In an interview with El Chiringuito de Jugones, Real Madrid right back Alvaro Odriozola talked about his decision to go on loan to Bayern Munich. The Spaniard claimed that coach Zinedine Zidane was against the move:

“I have contact with players and club employees and even with the doctors. Zidane is focused,” the right-back told El Chiringuito de Jugones on Wednesday.

“When it came to talk about the departure I had several conversation with him and he showed me his support in private when Bayern were interested. Zidane did not want me to leave Madrid.

“It is appreciated that a figure like his thought more about me than himself. He is a great coach and a great person.”

Sergino Dest ready leave Ajax (FussballTransfers)

According to FussballTransfers, Ajax and USMNT youngster Sergino Dest is ready to leave the club this summer. The player is said to be in contact with numerous Bayern stars, who are encouraging him to join the club. Bayern however have yet to meet Ajax’s valuation for Dest, and the transfer remains uncertain.
