Bayern Munich to sign Vinicius Tobias under Real Madrid’s nose (Don Balon)
An interesting story courtesy of the Don. According to this report, Bayern Munich are about to sign Brazilian wonderkid Vinicius Tobias (unrelated to the Real Madrid player Vinicius Junior). The player is a defender — specifically, a right back (cue a chorus of “ooh” and “aah” from the audience) with a strong physique and good pace.
The report claims that Florentino Perez was ready to sing the youngster as part of his search for the next big Brazilian talent, but Bayern will beat him to the punch. This being Don Balon, we’re inclined to disbelieve anything they report, but this is an abnormally sane rumor by their standards. Who knows? Even a broken clock is right twice a day.
Also, let’s just take a moment to appreciate this excerpt from the end of the Don’s article:
It will be the new bet of the German giant, which hopes to have more success than it had at the time with another promising central Brazilian: Breno. Not only did he never settle, but he ended up in jail after setting his own house on fire to try to defraud his insurance.
Worse is impossible ...
“He can’t be worse than Breno” is a resounding endorsement in my opinion.
