Bayern Munich’s number one transfer target Leroy Sané might need to work on his fitness a little bit before the English Premier League resumes. The Premier League clubs recently voted to resume training in small groups on May 19.
Manchester City left-back Oleksandr Zinchenko claimed in an interview (Tribuna) that Sané had gained so much weight during the two months he failed to recognize the winger.
“I saw Leroy Sane just as I was leaving the base. I didn’t recognize him at first, he looked like our bus driver!” the Ukrainian added.

Zinchenko added, “Talked with him for a bit, teased him about Bayern Munich, but he wasn’t letting anything slip. I think he’s a whisker away from moving there. But he needs to sort out his weight first. I was told he has put on seven extra kilos!”
That would indeed put Sané on the chonky side. But even allowing for humorous exaggeration on Zinchenko’s part, Sané should have ample time to shed whatever weight he has gained before the Premier League restarts or he finally moves to Bayern.
Perhaps he and Niklas Süle can start a support club.
