We finally have our first Bavarian Fashion Works piece of quarantine. This time around, the kit leak from Footy Headlines ( pertain to both Bayern Munich’s home and away kits for next season. Before we delve any further, we can thankfully assure you that the away jerseys have no resemblance to mint green whatsoever, just in case you were worried about that. True to the word of our ultras; Bayern’s only colors are red and white and the proposed home and away kits for next season follow suit, for the most part.
Let’s have a look:
Home kits:

These home kits are quite honestly a beautiful combination of both the 2013 home kits and the 2016 home kits, which pays homage to our historic treble winning season with Jupp Heynckes and winning the domestic double with Pep Guardiola. The white stripes on either side of the torso are almost identical to the 2016 kits, but the white wring around the collar, shoulders, and sleeve cuffs bare resemblance to the 2013 kits. The only element from those two kits that this one is missing is the presence of a collar, which opinions are always split on.
Upon closer inspection the kit features subtle off-red vertical stripes of what appears to be breathable fabric across the front, side, and sleeves of the kit. The vertical stripes feature faint white dots in a fading-type graphic that makes the off-red color a bit more noticeable. Per usual, one sleeve will feature the Qatar Airways logo while the other sleeve will hopefully be featuring the Deutscher Fussballmesiter 2019/2020 patch.
I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that Adidas really hit it out of the park with this home kit. While our past two home kits pay homage to our beloved Allianz Arena, these ones are just the perfect combination of details that will remind us of the glory days in 2012/2013.
The shorts for this kit will be red with white stripes on the sides, white Adidas logo, and the traditionally-colored team badge with the 4 stars above it.

In other news this is the full pic
It’s hard to get AS excited for away kits because they’re never red, but compartmentalizing that very realization helps us be able to appreciate them for what they are. With the beige base and orange-ish text, I’m kind of getting 2013/2014 away kit vibes from when Liga total! was the front sponsor, strictly based off of the color scheme itself, not as much the design.

Consistent with the home kit, it features the white stripes on either side of the torso, but the neck and sleeve cuffs follow a pattern more akin to our home kits from the 2017/2018 season (thick ring). It’s simple, which can often times be a very positive thing, especially when it comes to designing an away kit, but this may have been better off had Adidas stuck with more of a red color for the text as opposed to orange and keeping the traditional team badge instead of the monochromatic template. Away kits are tough to please everyone with, so we can give Adidas the benefit of the doubt there, we’ll see what you all think in the comments section. They’re not mint green, so there’s that...
As is usually the case, the home kits were supposed to be officially released right around this time, just as the Bundesliga season would’ve been coming to an end had it not been for the corona crisis. The away kits usually get released shortly thereafter, but due to the current circumstances, both of these will likely be released around the same time this summer by Adidas and will be available for purchase on Bayern’s web site.
You know the drill, give us your take(s)!
