We have BIG news! It’s official — Bayern Munich has extended Hansi Flick’s contract, making him the permanent coach until 2023. Flick, who took over as interim after the sacking of Niko Kovac last autumn, has clearly convinced the bosses of his ability to lead the club. Here’s the official twitter account with the confirmation:

This is excellent news for FC Bayern. Hansi Flick has been nothing sort of a revelation for the club this year as the Bavarians have dominated most of their opponents and quickly become Champions League favorites with the early exit of Liverpool. Not only has he been able to get the best out of Thomas Müller since his days with Pep Guardiola, but he has also ensured that almost every single player under his tutelage has seen growth. None of those has been more evident than the sudden ascension of Alphonso Davies as an elite LB.
Flicki Flaka is here to stay and I don’t know about you all, but I am feeling like this is a sign of many more good things to come — mainly a Champions League title (or two.)
